Visit of Singapore Management University on 16 October 2019


A delegation from Singapore Management University (SMU) arrived at our Faculty of Engineering in order to discuss possible academic cooperation. Dr. Zheng Baihua, associate professor of information systems and associate dean of the SIS post-graduate research programmes, was accompanied by Mr. Tan Wee Lee, senior manager at the Office of Postgraduate Research Programmes. They were warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, vice dean for foreign relations and international affairs; Dr. Nitipat Teerakawanich, head of the Department of Electrical Engineering; Dr. Dulpichet Rerkpreedapong, assistant dean of academic affairs; Dr. Eakachai Phaisangittisagul, lecturer in electrical engineering; and Dr. Teerasit Kasetkasem, associate head of the Department of  Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Zheng Baihua and Tan Wee Lee introduced SMU’s graduate programs and the available scholarships. They were introduced to our Faculty of Engineering and then taken on a tour of our facilities. A proposal to set up a joint 3+1+1 program in the near future was discussed.
