Congratulations to our students who won the 2nd runner-up award at AI & Robotics HACKATHON

The Faculty of Engineering extends its warm congratulations to the students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, the 3BIT team, who won the 2nd runner-up award in AI for Safety in the category Track A: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning during the AI & Robotics HACKATHON: Hack for a Better Green Planet. This event was organized by PTTEP and ARV (AI & Robotics Ventures) from 24 until 25 August 2019, and held at ARV’s headquarters.

The challenge in this competition concerned AI for Safety, which required each team to develop artificial intelligence (or AI) for the detection of defects in personal protective equipment.

The team consisted of students from the Department of Electrical Engineering: Mr. Supakit Kriangkachorn, a master’s degree student; Mr. Yulayab Khobkrabi and Ms. Araya Kongphet, both 4th year students.
