Assoc. Prof. Eiji Ikoma, from the University of Tokyo’s Earth Observation Data Integration & Fusion Research Initiative, is conducting research at our faculty’s Department of Computer Engineering under a five-year joint research program with the University of Tokyo, from April 2016 until March 2021. For this purpose, he has received a scholarship from the Japan Science and Technology Agency/ Japan International Cooperation Agency (JST/JICA), and from the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS). Dr Ikoma obtained his bachelor, master and doctorate degrees from his university’s Faculty of Technology in 1995, 1997, and 2000, respectively.
Dr Ikoma’s research project at our faculty is concerned with advancing the co-design of integrated strategies with adaptation to climate change in Thailand (ADAP-T). His work involves research collaboration with members of the Faculty of Engineering on maintaining the IT infrastructure for the ADAP-T project. His advisor at the Department of Computer Engineering is Asst Prof Chaiporn Jaikaeo.
