The Faculty of Engineering is one of the top ranking
institutes of engineering in this country. It offers
bachelor's degree, master’s degree, and doctoral
programs in 15 fields. It educates engineers to serve
society, develop the country and pursue excellence in engineering and scientific advancement.

August 1, 1938, is regarded as the date Kasetsart
University's Faculty of Engineering was founded on August 1, 1938, when the Irrigation, for
it was on that day that the Irrigation Technical
School of the Royal Irrigation Department was established
by the Department’s Director-General Mom Luang
Chuchat Kamphu. Initially, the school offered a three-year
irrigation technician diploma program. The School
later became the Faculty of Irrigation Engineering,
incorporated as part of Kasetsart University, and its program
was developed into a five-year course
leading to the four-year bachelor degree in irrigation engineering. In 1967, the Faculty was renamed the
Faculty of Engineering. It expanded its curriculum to
include four-year programs in other
fields of engineering, and moved from the Royal
Irrigation Department location in Pakret in
Nonthaburi Province to its present location in Bang
Khen in Bangkok. |
Expert Instructors
The Faculty of Engineering of Kasetsart University
has a staff of permanent lecturers ready and able to
carry forward education in both the theoretical and
practical areas of the Facultys programs. Currently,
our lecturers number aer 300, two-thirds of whom hold doctorates. thay are all recognized as specialists
in their respective fields who possess the skills and experience to nurture and inspire our students.

The vision of the Faculty of Engineering is
to be the Best Faculty in the Production of e &
i Engineers. That is, a faculty that provides
its students with the best education, not only in terms of
technical knowledge and skills, but also in three Es and

Student projects gain worldwide recognition
Because our students are provided support and guidance
to pursue/engage in quality engineering projects, a lot of valuable
and useful innovations have been created. The faculty
has helped students enter their projects in various
international competitions, and several times they have
emerged with first emerged victorious prize, as for example in the international
software design competition World Imagine Cup 2007 in
Seoul, South Korea, organized by Microsoft Corporation
in August 2007, which involved 100 teams from 59 nations,
and in the Asia-Pacific software competition AIPICTA
Awards 2008. Faculty students also took second place
in the MOS Olympics 2006.
